The shopping trip was great! I am currently wearing my new clothes which have been complimented on a number of times. I can't believe the time went so quickly- I now need to make a start on my wardrobe, and am definately looking at my outfits in a new light since last Saturday! A really well spent 4 hours. I had a great afternoon shopping. The time slipped past so quickly and was a lot of fun. I don't think I'll ever view clothes shopping in the same way from now on. I have a better idea of which types of cuts and colours look well on me, ones that I would never previously have picked! And also, the shopping appointment helped me to judge the quality of the garments for value. In short I now have a completely different strategy. One where I won't waste money, and will look and feel much better.

It may seem obvious, but your wardrobe has a lot of different jobs to do-

1.  Reflect your profession – I have a good range of outfits which reflect the fact that I’m a professional coach;

2.  Allow you to relax – I have a great range of relax-about-the-house clothes, comfy but very far from sassy;

3.  Let you go out in style – this is where I was deeply in need of ideas and help. I found I was wearing either a lot of my professional wardrobe or my lazy clothes when going out – neither of which really met the mark.

For my birthday I received a half-day’s personal shopping with Ruth – and it was absolutely fantastic. Over a quiet coffee, she clarified what we were questing for that day, what my budget was, where did I normally go shopping, and lots of other q’s- then off we went.

She brought me to shops I’d never been into in Belfast, helped me to put some really great, sassy outfits together, kept me well away from black/white (my comfort rut). She challenged, supported, guided and helped me to step into a new comfort zone with some great new ideas – all in a sense of fun and craic! A combination of style coaching, personal shopping, girlie wisdom and new ideas. Since my day with Ruth, I’ve learned to question before I spend particularly around apparent bargains. Never again will I get caught in that emotional rush of bagging a bargain! And since Ruth is also a highly skilled colour/image consultant, she was able to help me choose a range of colours that really work for me – and to top it all off, was even able to help me get some discount in certain stores.

So, go for it. Get yourself Ruthed.

"I won a half day of personal shopping with Ruth in conjunction with Lisburn Square; and with spending money to my surprise! I was a little apprehensive of what the day would involve, but I was welcomed with a friendly and warm smile which made me feel so relaxed from the word go. Ruth helped and advised me on which outfits suited me best, and to have someone at your beck and call to do the hard bit for you was a real treat. She helped me chose a few different items, from trousers to coats to boots and tops; a complete head to toe make- over, and so many of the items can be worn in so many different ways. I would completely recommend Ruth for those special occassions or just a treat, the whole experience was extremely enjoyable which was all down to Ruth,
